2. Courts:

The Courts Service
Comprehensive details of how the Courts operate in Ireland. Supreme Court and Court of Appeal decisions are on the site as also are the court rules and each day’s legal diary. Reports of the Family Law Reporting Service are now also available on the site.

Portal site to Government departments and other State Agencies.
4. Lawyers:

Bar Council
Information about barristers and how they work. It has an authoritative data base of barristers and the site gives details of the Council’s direct access scheme. Also gives a list of useful legal links.

Law Society of Ireland
Details about how solicitors work and has an authoritative up-to-date data base for solicitors.
5. Legal Aid and Advice:

Legal Aid Board
The site sets out who is entitled to free or subsidised legal aid and advice and how you apply for it. There are separate sections dealing with Refugee Legal Services and the Refugee Documentation Centre.

Information about local advice centres where free legal advice is available and also an information and referral line.

Irish Statute Book
Contains the text of statutes and statutory instruments from the foundation of the State up to 2004/2005.
Houses of the Oireachtas
Has the text of recent legislation on the Statute Book Website and also Bills as initiated, as amended and as passed.

Contains details about marriage and marriage and relationship counselling.

Contains the text of 12 leaflets setting out information about different aspects of family law in an accessible question and answer format.
